The main directions of use of inhibitors of corrosion (biocides) that would not only stabilize the electrochemical situation, but also would block habitability of enzymatic mechanism of bacteria for protection of insulation coating of underground pipelines from microbiological pollution are analyzed. The advantages of use of organic biocides over non-organic ones for oppression of habitability of sulphur reducing bacteria as the most aggressive ones among the corrosion dangerous microorganisms are revealed. The considerable attention is paid to industrial biocide additives. The comparative analysis of domestic and foreign biocide preparations is performed.
