摘要

The article demonstrates that there exists an actual need for development of an improved design of the stabilizer equipped with spiral blades in order to accelerate and ensure quality completion of a borehole for further lowering of a casing string (in combination with utilization of the newest rolling cutter bits having sealed bearings). Classification of drilling calibrator designs is presented. Main stabilizer parameters were validated with the help of analysis of the calibrator wears and other analytical investigations. The improved design of the stabilizer equipped with spiral blades is proposed.
