Pseudohypopyon following intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection in a phakic eye.

Intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (IVTA) is a potent anti-inflammatory, angiostatic agent with expanding ophthalmic uses. Pseudohypopyon following IVTA injection occurs because of the sedimentation of triamcinolone acetonide crystals in the anterior chamber (AC) and can closely mimic infectious and sterile endophthalmitis. It is uncommon in phakic eyes.
