The Sieverts apparatus was constructed to measure PCT diagrams of metal hydrogen systems. The apparatus consists of a carefully calibrated gas reservoir and pressure gage connected to the specimen reactor by gas-tight tubing. The reactor was immersed in a water bath for temperature maintenance. PCT diagrams of LaNi_4.5Co_0.5-hydrogen systems were measured using the apparatus.
