The antiaggregation activity of the vascular wall in patients suffering from arterial hypertension with metabolic syndrome

The subjects of the study were patients suffering from arterial hypertension with metabolic syndrome; the study found that thrombocyte aggregation function was intensified, while the antiaggregation activity of the vascular wall was weakened in these patients. The mentioned changes are underlied by deep alterations in lipid exchange, the activation of serum lipid peroxidation, and disturbances in the synthesis of prostacycline in the vascular wall, associated with the intensification of thromboxane formation in the platelets.
