This is a discussion of the merits (bright side) and the demerits (dark side) about the digital X-ray systems. Characteristics of the conventional analog X-ray system and digital X-ray system were investigated. The digital X-ray system had many merits. Therefore, X-ray examinations became much convenient. But, there is an anxiety that radiological technologists will not be able to understand evidence on the setting of exposure parameters.
