Queries to information systems are investigated, the fulfillment of which requires associative knowledge. It is proposed to consider the excitation of associative networks and selection of associative chains in them as addition of necessaryinformation to the queries and to formalize them in PROLOG syntax. As a query might excite a number of associative chains, a problem arises of selecting the most appropriate chain, which can be realized on the base of reference semantic structures.
