Waves guided by an anisotropic conducting with a longitudinal slot

An eigenvalue problem is considered for a hollow cylinder with a longitudinal slot and anisotropic surface conductivity along helical lines. An integrodifferential equation for eigencurrents is obtained. A dispersion equation is derived for quasistatic waves in a cylinder with a narrow slot. The cylinder is assumed to be thin as compared to the wavelength, and the pitch angle of the helical conductivity lines is assumed to be small. The existence conditions for leaky and slow quasistatic waves are formulated.
