The results obtained at FSUE SPE "ALMAZ" in creation of pulse TWTs with grid control of electron flow are presented. The description of constructional and technological features for devices with the different types of delay systems is given. The paper considers the problems of increase in output power, extension of amplified frequency band, and stability for self-excitation on backward harmonic.
