摘要

The peculiarities of application of the impedance boundary conditions in the problem of electromagnetic wave diffraction from a perfectly conducting edge with a coating are considered. The approach for estimation the solution error of the diffraction problem caused by the assumption about the impedance character of the considered structure has been offered. The two model types of coating: dielectric with losses and layer with a free space impedance - were considered. The common requirements for parameters of these types of coating were formulated when the impedance boundary conditions may be used.
