Larry's World—IFTA president proudly displays the Nova Scotia fruit industry

Standing in his mountaintop orchard at the highest point of the Annapolis Valley, Larry Lutz looked like king of the world. However, it's not his 55-acre family orchard that sets him near the pinnacle of the fruit industry. It's the key role he playsin the lives of other fruit growers, in Nova Scotia and beyond. That day, Lutz was playing the role of president of the International Fruit Tree Association (IFTA), hosting two busloads of its members as they toured the Annapolis Valley the first week of August, during IFTA's annual summer tour.
