摘要

Sophisticated Operation Support System (OSS) is indispensable to provide communications services quickly and reduce operational costs. Cable allocation method is an important technology to achieve the OSS. Conventional allocation method is designed for metal cable, therefore it cannot be applicable for optical cable. This paper proposes a new allocation method for optical cable that takes end cable usage rate into account. A simulation result presents that the method increases the fiber usage rate 1.5 times. This paper also evaluates number of ribbon-fiber to fulfill usage demands.
