摘要

In this report, we propose a new method which makes transient simulation faster for circuit including both nonlinear and linear elements. First, the method of generating projection matrix with Krylov-subspace technique is described. The order of circuit equations is reduced by congruence transformation with projection matrix. Next, we suggest the method which can calculate a reduced Jacobian matrix directly in the Newton-Raphson iteration. Calculation cost is reduced drastically by this technique. Therefore, efficient circuit simulation can be achieved. In addition, the way to apply the nonlinear reduction technique to the circuit which contains MOSFETs is proposed. Finally, circuit simulation is performed for some example circuits and the validity of the nonlinear reduction technique is verified.
