Corrosion Engineering for Automotive Aluminum Parts

摘要

Recently, reduction of component weight for gasmileage improvement in automobile application has become asubject of great importance for environmental protection.This paper describes some applications of corrosionprotection technologies and corrosion evaluation technologies forautomotive heat exchangers made from aluminum alloys.Corrosion environments discussed in this paper are de-icing saltsplash on radiators and condensers, engine coolant water inradiators and heater cores, and condensate solutions on evaporators.
