The new MPV has been developed in line with Mazda's product philosophy: "Distinctive Design," "Exceptional Functionality," and "Responsive Handling and Performance." It also fully embodies Mazda's brand personality described as "Stylish," "Insightful," and "Spirited." Mazda has planned and developed the new MPV referring to in-depth surveys conducted in each market of the world. The new MPV has a sporty, high-quality, and unique appearance. Its insightful and highly efficient packaging offers a roomy interior space allowing all passengers to feel comfortable even at its full capacity (7 people), while leaving ample luggage space. The new MPV features various convenient functions inspired by new ideas. The left seat of the independen-type second-row seats has a mechanism that allows left-and-right sliding while seated as the first time adoption in the world. This enables the second-row seats to be used as either two captain's seats or a bench seat. The third-row seat can be completely stowed into the floor, and also turned back for backward seating for the rear gate party. The rear sliding doors are set on the both sides for easy access into the vehicle even parked at a confined space, employing power windows to enhance a sense of the openness for the rear passengers. The new 2.5-liter V6 engine and outstanding suspension assure a solid driving and excellent handling stability regardless of the number of passengers or amount of cargo. The new MPV realizes a comfortable traveling space, and enriches communication among family members and friends.
