Along with the evolution of the computingenvironment, 3D visualization is playing an important role formore efficient and more precise seismic interpretation. The 3Dgraphic capability of recent workstations has enabledinterpreters to precise seismic interpretation. The 3D graphiccapability of recent workstations has enabled interpreters toutilize the 3D visualization environment more easily. In parallel,software for 3D visualization has evolved enough forgeoscientists to utilize this 3D functionality effectively in their daily work.Besides the evolution of the technology, the workingenvironment for geoscientists has been changing recently.Before, petrophysicists, geologists, and geophysicists wereworking independently rather than exchanging informationamong different disciplines. These days, all the geoscientiststend to work in a team (Asset Team) with people from differentdisciplines. It also became popular recently for the interpretationresults to be shown with images from 3D visualization. Newfacilities for showing 3D interpretation results have become available, too.In this paper, we will first describe the variety of technologiesand facilities for 3D visualization available for different sorts ofenvironments. Then the second part will describe someexamples of 3D inter-pretation techniques using the latestvisualization software.
