Development of PCU (Power Cell Unit) power supply

For the power supply of the industrial equipment and apparatus, general purpose standard power supplies are often used by selecting them appropriately from the catalog. However, this is likely to cause the increase of leakage current, wiring and installation space and work. In compliance with the request to overcome such disadvantages, we have commercialized a semi-custom power supply which allows for the versatile combination of outputs of DC-DC converter. Based on the basic design concept of the conventional semi-custom power supply, a new product with reinforced functions and shorter delivery time is now developed. Main features thereof are that: (1) The DC output section is of such configuration that several combinations of DC cell modules are available with the maximum output power of 120W per DC cell. (2) The capacity of output power can be increased by means of parallel connection of DC cell modules. (3) ON/OFF sequence and alarm operation of each cell are controlled by a microcomputer.
