High power uninterruptible power system 'SDU series' and its remote monitoring system

摘要

We have developed a high capacity UPS (300kVA) which can support the power supply system of the data center with its monitoring system, as may be required in conjunction of rapid dissemination of information technology. This UPS which is of full IGBT specifications can be minimized in size to save installation space. Focussing on the compact size of the system for the purpose of saving the installation space at maximum, IGBTs with low saturation voltage and low loss are used. The thermal design of the unit is optimized by using a simulator. The main features of this UPS are as follows: (1) The panel width of the rectifier and the inverter is minimized to be 2200mm. (2) The control circuit of our medium capacity UPS (SDU series) which is field proven is used in succession. (3) The UPS is compatible with a remote monitoring system through connection with public telephone network by modem and LAN connection.
