We have developed a new type of compact, high performance ON-LINE Mini UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) YUMIC-SC 10, which utilizes an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) for the main switching device, a microcomputer for control and a long life battery as a power source. The adoption of the microcomputer in the control circuit of the UPS has also brought about a significant improvement in a monitoring function of the battery, a controling function and reliability.It has such excellent features as high efficiency (84.1%), high power factor (97.8%), small transient voltage variation, etc. There are a standard mini tower type (SC10A), a desk top type (SC10B), and l9Anch rack type (SCl0R) of YUMIC-SClO. The dimensions of SC10A are 138mm(W)×350mm(H)×450mm(D), and the weight is 22kg.
