Effect of transplanting time on growth of rice cultivar 'Kinuhikari' in Kagawa Prefecture. Temperature effect on time of appearance of the first tiller, heading and maturation.

摘要

In a field study in 1992-95, rice cv. Kinuhikari was transplanted on different dates, and plant development was investigated in relation to temperature. Equations for number of days to different phenological stages in relation to temperature are presented, and it is suggested that the safe transplanting date in Kagawa Prefecture is the second 5-day period of May.
