Gas chromatography of aminoadamantanes

Retention indices of 1- and 2-amino-, N-methylamino-, and N,N-dimethylaminoadamantanes on Apiezon L, OV-101, or XE-60 are determined by gas-liquid chromatography. The contribution of the amino group to the retention of aminoadamantanes is determined for stationary phases of different polarity. It is found that the position of the functional group affects the retention parameters of adamantanes.
