On the geobotanical division of Sochi coastal localities.

A brief account is given of the geophysical conditions and distribution of vegetation from the river Psou to Tuapse, and from the Black Sea coast to the main Caucasus range in southern Russia. Two geobotanical districts and seven regions were distinguished. An account of their borders, biological characteristics, description of vegetation and distribution of some plant species is presented. Plant communities included alpine and alpine meadows, and fir (Abies nordmanniana), beech (Fagus sylvatica subsp. orientalis), oak (Quercus spp.), chestnut (Castanea sativa) and mixed broadleaved forests.
