The main features of the flora of the Central-Chernozem Reserve.

The flora of the Central-Chernozem reserve contains 1005 species of the vascular plants in 99 plant families. The most frequent families were Asteraceae, Poaceae, Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae, Brassicaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Ranunculaceae and Apiaceae. The flora is mesic in character, with sward-forming grasses predominant in the meadow-steppe environment.
