Horticultural experiments revealed an increase in the content of monosilicic acid and plant-available P in the soil under the addition of Si-containing waste from Voskresensk and Zaporozh'e metallurgic complexes. Statistical analysis showed a linearrelationship between soluble P and monosilicic acid in the soil (r~2 = 0.80 +- 0.17, p < 0.01). All Si-containing additives studied had a positive effect on the length and weight of plants under both optimal and deficient moisture conditions.
