Prices to stay unchanged until spring ends

Uncoated flats of March rolling added $90-100/t in the domestic market due to a rise in export prices in February. The big slowdown in business activity abroad caused producers to cut HRC prices by $60-70/t to $750-760/t FOB Caspian Sea at the start of March. In April, demand is expected to improve in the Middle East for a while, and speculative buying will increase due to the drop in supply in SE Asia. So, producers will most likely succeed in raising HRC prices to February level.
