In November, domestic prices for uncoated steel products have gone down by 4%. Imports have fallen in price by 2-4%. Urged by weak final demand, traders have reduced purchases from mills. Flats sales have dropped notably in the Caspian Sea, as Iranian traders have replenished stocks and left the market. In an attempt to attract the Middle Eastern consumers, CIS HRC suppliers have decreased prices for November by $65-70/t to $620/t FOB. As a result, products of ArcelorMittal Temirtau are offered domestically at $110-125/t higher prices than to non-CIS countries.
