Farmer responses to questions about how quickly they treat lame cows -comparing two methodological approaches for interviewing farmers

Farmers do not always treat lame cows on their farm promptly. There is value in investigating farmers' responses when asked questions relating to the speed at which they treat their lame cows. Different methodological approaches may elicit different responses. Farmers were asked questions about the speed at which they treated their lame cows during a ten minute telephone survey and during an in-depth, face-to-face interview.
