摘要

This meeting which focuses on medical entomology and zoology contains 13 abstracts in Chinese and English. Topics include the Argentine ants-invasion into Japan and expansion of their distribution, overwintering ecology of Culex tritaeniorhynchus, inducement effect of adult rat ultrasonic vocalization by rat pup, observations on exploratory behavior of commensal rodents using laser sensor, Phlebotomus Sand fly in Japan, lethal effect of DEET and household chemicals to leech, transition of public health important pests identified in Saitama, surveillance of Aedes mosquitoes by ovi-trap method. Other topics include Pale fringe spots of the Anopheles hyrcanus group and phylogenetic study based on ITS2 sequences.
