Development of corrosion-resistant steels based on naturally-alloyed cast iron

摘要

Corrosion-resistant steels and technology of theirproduction were elaborated at Orsko-Halilovsky Metallurgical Plant(JSC"NOSTA").Use of steel with chromium content 0.3-0.5 percent receivedon the base of naturally alloyed ores of Halilovsky Deposit isprofitable when it is used in manufacturing of plates, sort andtubes. Tube weldability is not decreased and technology of tube-making and pipeline mounting is not complicated.The technology of receiving steel based on naturally alloyedcast iron allows reduction of chromium and nickel in steel and toraise tube metal resistance to acidic influence of industrial andnatural waters.
