Analysed were regularities in formation of metal structures and mechanical properties in hot-worked 325 mm diameter tubes made from forged 08X18H10T steel hollows in conditions of Pivdennotrubny Tube Plant (Nikopol, Ukraine) and Sumitomo Co. (Japan) and used in national power engineering industry and experimental tubes made from stationary cast hollows in conditions of Nizhnedneprovsk Tube Plant. Quality aspects and issues of a rational distribution of de formation parameters in the tube making process were examined.
