EXPLORATION

摘要

SOCAR has completed the construction of the Umid-1 platform at the Umid block in the Caspian. For the first time in 20 years, SOCAR is beginning the development of a marine oilfield without foreign assistance. The drilling of the first exploration well is due to start before the end of June. It will have a depth of 6,500 metres of which 4,000 will be completed by the end of 2009.
