The construction of the Chenub thermal power station is due for completion by the end of this year according to the Chairman of Azerenergy, Etibar Pirverdiev. It was slightly delayed because of problems in acquiring foreign finance, but the delay has now been made up. The station will cost 600 mn manats. It will be able to burn gas, fuel oil and diesel and its construction began 4 years ago.
