The Azerbaijan Government and the Japanese financial corporation "International Fund JICA", formerly the "Japanese Bank for International Cooperation" (JBIC), have completed preparations for a tender for the construction of the second steam-gas unit of capacity 400 MW at the Severnaya (Shimali) power station in the northern suburbs of Baku. The station will be built with a credit from JICA.
