Roberto Pirani, the Chairman of the British "White Stream Pipeline Company", says that he believes the Caspian region has enough gas for several pipelines to be built to western Europe. The White Stream project foresees a pipeline being laid from Azerbaijan across the Black Sea in competition with the Nabucco project, the "ITG1" and "TAP" pipelines, and Russia's South Stream pipeline, which will carry 63 BCM/yr of gas from Central Asia across the Black Sea.
