Bulla Deniz

The exploration drilling programme at the Bulla Deniz gasfield in the Caspian, which is designed to tap very deep reservoirs, has been praised by SOCAR management. The First Vice President Khoshbakht Yusifzade says that the drilling of well No.89 with a target depth of 6,400 metres has passed the 4,500 metre mark. The well will shortly tap the 7th horizon of the Krasnotsvetnaya Suite where initial well yields are expected to be 500 TCM/day. The well will continue down to the 8th horizon, and is due for completion by the end of this year according to Yusifzade.
