Price growth restrained by tough competition

In August, supply of coated products stays excessive. Despite a steadydemand, Russian suppliers have to cut prices due to large imports.In autumn, the growth of world flat product prices will be the major factorcontributing to the stabilization of Russian prices for coated flats. Foreignsuppliers will be less interested in Russian market when prices get higherin other export markets. Enjoying weaker competition, domestic producers willhold prices stable in September and raise them in October.
