English Nature: what we do and how we do it

As the government advisers on the natural heritage, wildlife gain is our mission at English Nature. We go about this in three main ways: protecting special sites for wildlife; helping biodiversity in the wider countryside and sea; and action to changepolicies and influence people in their hearts and minds to work for wildlife. We are working today for nature tomorrow so that future generations can enjoy a wealth of wildlife as a major part of their quality of life. We also promote the protection and understanding of our geological heritage.
