摘要

Slender line-like and high structures are stressed due to wind loading, which should be taken into account not only for the strength evaluation but also for the service life prediction of the structure. A characteristic value of the structural service life can be obtained for the cumulative damage in fatigue under random loading. A mean value of the structural service life has been carried out by using the site wind statistical data, the structural dynamic response and the fatigue law for the material. The application of the presented procedure to a tower-shaped monument has been discussed.
