摘要

It is assumed that the characteristics of a taphole clay as installed will influence its performance. The authors are convinced that the evaluation of the rheological behavior of a taphole clay during plugging is important for understanding the structure as packed, however, there has been so little research on this subject that little is known. So the authors designed a novel device for evaluating the rheological properties of various kinds of taphole clay, that were prepared under different conditions, and the results were used to estimate the injection of a plug into a blast furnace hearth.
