摘要

A method has been developed for recycling used magnesia-chrome brick by eliminating the penetrated components (iron oxides, alkalies, etc.) and by oxidizing the chromium compounds from hexavalent to trivalent. The recycled magnesia-chrome brick, manufactured as described in this paper, includes superior resistance to alkali attack and low thermal conductivity, among it's various benefits, so that it is suitable for use in the low temperature zone of rotary cement kilos. This development of a recycled magnesia-chrome brick makes it possible to use conventional magnesia-chrome bricks without worrying about the environmental pollution.
