1. JSW Steel shareholders approve the merger of JSW Ispat with Company. - The Bombay High Court approved the plan in May 2. Supreme Court partially allows iron ore mining in Karnataka - The Supreme Court allowed the reopening of 90 mines in Category A and B after their environmental plans were approved. Supreme Court however, cancelled 49 mining leases in Category C. Mines with few or no irregularities are categorised as A and those with maximum illegalities are under C.
