EU stainless buyers hold off as nickel falls

Stainless steel buyers in the European Union are holding off rolled buying standard grade 304 2mm cold rolled coil for July deliveries preferring to wait and see if nickel prices will fall back further. For the past three months LME nickel has been trading at around 50,000 dollars per tonne pushing alloy surcharges applied to stainless steel to record heights.
