Iranian HRC exports to Spain soar

Spain's steelmakers have been taken aback by a roughly 400 per cent increase in imports of hot rolled coil from Iran since the start of 2006, raising the possibility that anti-dumping measures may be sought. Spain imported almost 122,000 tonnes of hot rolled coil during the first six months of the year, according to figures provided by Unesid, the representative association of Spanish steelmakers. In 2005, Spain's total amount of hot rolled coil imported from Iran was 57,264 tonnes.
