The non-isothermal cold crystallization behaviors of poly(lactic acid) (PLA)/poly(butylene adipate-coterephthalate)/titanate-treated calcium carbonate (T-CaCO3) composites were studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry. The activation energies (Ea) of non-isothermal cold crystallization were calculated by Kissinger's method. It is found that Jeziorny's and Mo's methods well describe the non-isothermal cold crystallization kinetics of neat PLA and PLA composites, while Ozawa's model fails. The cold crystallization rate and Ea of PLA composites are greater than those of neat PLA. It is attributed to the dual effect (heterogeneous nucleating agent and physical hindrance) of T-CaCO3 on the cold crystallization.
