I read the article by Patel et al (1) in which the authors described the "no-touch" wedge ablation technique in subcapsular liver tumors. In the article, the authors described the probe placement adjacent and tangential to the tumor margin for a small, peripheral subcapsular tumor. Without breaching the tumoral capsule, the risk of tumor seeding is minimized. The authors mentioned the need for careful interpretation of follow-up imaging after ablation in these patients for tumor recurrence (1). In addition to the imaging features described, I would like to illustrate the imaging appearance of extrahepatic bilomas after ablation. Although a largely benign entity, extra hepatic bilomas pose an imaging pitfall because many radiologists are unfamiliar with their appearance. My institution does not require ethics approval for case reports.
