The 2007 Charles T. Dotter Lecture-Our Rock and Our Hard Place: Getting Beyond Competition to Collaboration

It is a sign of the times that many of the products and services we obtain are blanketed with disclaimers. Unfortunately, the following one is no exception. This is an abridged transcript of a talk presented originally as a "conversation" held with an audience assembled at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Annual Meeting in Seattle on March 3, 2007. The "fireside chat" format was accompanied by multimedia clips interspersed with dialogue. It was intended as a departure from the traditional oratory style of previous Dotter Lectures. As such, it is difficult to translate this conversational experience to text and challenging to replicate the multimedia presentations in print alone. This is what it is, but not what it was. Thus, accepting these inadequacies in fidelity as uncorrectable, the following compromise represents what can be captured as a "near-genuine" rendition of the 2007 Dr. Charles T. Dotter Lecture.
