Wood is the ultimate produce to be obtained from the majority of the plantation forestry programmes. One of the important aims of the tree improvement worker is to select the good quality wood producing provenances and families for a particular site in order to gain maximum benefit over time. Present study attempted to study the various wood traits of Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. at two years of age. Significant provenance and family effect was noticed for certain wood traits. Narrow sense heritability values varied from 0.06 to 0.78 for different wood traits.
