Coke battery reconstruction

Coke battery No. 1 is being reconstructed at the West Siberian Metallurgical Corporation. It is intended to go into use in December 2005. The capacity will be 750 thousand t of saleable coke with 6 percent water content a year (690 thousand t before reconstruction). The coking battery has been built on the existing foundation and consists of 77 oven chambers in the PVR system designed by Giprokoks (Ukraine), with side input of the coking gas fuel. Useful volume of a coking chamber 35.5 m~3.
