Current coking and chemical production requires large amounts of steam and electricity, whose volume is dependent on the structure of the organization and also on the processes in metallurgical plants. To save energy resources, Giprokoks has widely introduced the latest systems for electricity, steam, heat, and air supply, which envisage centralized control panel management. New designs, including the control panel management of energy in coking and chemical plants, provide for supplying users with the necessary amounts of energy resources with the required parameters, as well as monitoring substations, locating and eliminating faults, noninterruptible energy supply, reducing equipment downtime and the amount of backup equipment, and improving power system servicing. All these designs are utilized in new, reconstructed, and reequipped energy supplies for coking and chemical plants, which improve heat and energy use and improve the employment of fuel and power resources. Giprokoks design systems for energy use in new projects that substantially reduce the capital investment and provide competitive performance on the basis of the market for engineering services. The following staff members of Giprokoks have made an enormous contribution to designing new techniques and improving energy economy in coking and chemical plants in various years: A. S. Rabotnikov, A. M. Bilenkin, N. V. Bashkatova, B. F. Mel'nikov, P. M. Kritsula, A. V. Kozerodov, G. M. Krichevskii, Yu. A. Linker, V. I. Pavlov, A. E. Revva, V. V. Ryzhov, and so on.
