Reconstruction of the boiler unit at Kemerovsk State Power Plant to burn coke oven gas from Koks Joint Stock Company

Work related to the use of coke oven gas from the Kemerovsk coke plant (now Koks Joint Stock Company) at Kemerovsk State Power Station has been underway for twenty years. Currently, two boiler units in stations 2 and 3 are fueled by coke oven gas, at a rate of 147 million m~3/yr. In May 2001, coke battery 6 went into operation at the Koks plant, with an output of 356 million m~3 of coke oven gas each year. Accordingly, the Kemerovsk Regional Administration and the management of Kizbassenergo and Koks Joint Stock Companies decided to increase the use of coke oven gas at the power station by 163.5 million m~3/yr by reconstructing the TsKTI-TKZ-120-150 coal-dust boiler of station 4, which formerly consumed 130,000 tons of coal per year. Financing for this project was shared equally by Kuzbassenergo and Koks.
